The Executive Brief

The Executive Brief — October 2026: Leading Through Turbulence

October 17, 2026

October marks the start of the final quarter. For most leadership teams, it is the moment when the year's plan meets reality. This issue is short and practical: three ideas to carry into Q4, and one invitation.

1. Turbulence is a leadership test, not a market event

Markets shift, budgets tighten and priorities move. Teams rarely lose their footing because of the change itself. They lose it because nobody tells them clearly what still matters. In turbulent weeks, your most valuable job is to say three things out loud: what is not changing, what is, and what you need from each person by Friday.

Try this week: open your next staff meeting with those three statements before anything else on the agenda.

2. Your experience is your foundation

Many accomplished executives underestimate what they have already built. Decades of decisions, setbacks and wins are not a résumé line. They are raw material for your next chapter, whether that is a bigger role, a venture, a book, a podcast or a purposeful transition. The question is not whether you have something to offer. It is whether you have a strategy for it.

Reflect: write down the three hardest problems you have solved in your career. Each one is a story someone else needs to hear.

3. Iron sharpens iron

The fastest growth we see happens in rooms where titles are secondary and egos stay at the door. Leaders who learn alongside peers challenge assumptions sooner, confront imposter syndrome faster, and act with more confidence. If you have no such room in your week, build one. Even a monthly peer call changes the quality of your decisions.

An invitation: apply for a program

Applications are now open for Master Coaching Accelerator programs, from the Executive Boot Camp to the MCAH VIP Accelerator. Every application is reviewed personally. Apply here, or request a private consultation if you would like to talk it through first.

Accelerate your leadership. Reinvent your future. Build your legacy.
